THE WHY? The Wall Street Journal certainly makes its agenda clear within the article, claiming that green tape is ‘pushing manufacturing elsewhere’. If the WSJ’s interpretation of Macron’s comments are correct, then it’s possible that the French President could well be using the age-old deflection technique after months of protests against his pension reforms.
