THE WHAT? Direct sales company Mary Kay has appointed James Whatley as Chief Information Officer.
THE DETAILS Whatley will work on the company’s digital innovation efforts as well as help beauty consultants utilise tools and technology.
THE WHY? The appointment closely follows that of Sheryl Adkins-Greens being named as Chief Experience Officer, with Mary Kay clearly pivoting its focus to try and further the success of its sales consultants.
Deborah Gibbins, Chief Operating Officer at Mary Kay Inc, said: “Through the development of digital technology, tools, and applications, we’re improving not only the experience for the independent sales force, but for their customers around the world.”
