L’Oréal gets green light for bespoke beauty in China

THE WHAT? The Shanghai Municipal Drug Administration has awarded China’s first on-site personalized service cosmetics production license to L’Oréal, according to a report published by Dao Insights.

THE DETAILS The license authorizes the French beauty giant to provide bespoke beauty products to customers via its SkinCeuticals brand’s Custom D.O.S.E. personalized skin care service, set to launch later this month.

THE WHY? The pilot project paves the way for a wider roll out of personalized beauty services across China. Watch this space.
