THE WHAT? Godrej has reported its results for the fourth quarter of the current financial year. The Indian FMCG manufacturer saw profit leap almost 25 percent versus the prior-year period, to ₹4.52 billion, according to a report published by Reuters.
THE DETAILS Sales rose 10 percent yoy to ₹31.72 billion with quarterly revenue from largest market India up 12 percent.
THE WHY? Reuters reports that the jump was driven by rising household incomes and changing lifestyles as buyers increasingly commit more of their budget to branded consumer goods.
