THE WHAT? Coty has teamed up with Spatial to create an internal metaverse for its global employees, due to launch this fall. The virtual campus is designed to upskill Coty’s 11,000-strong workforce, empowering innovation for Coty’s brand portfolio.
THE DETAILS Using desktop and mobile technology, the Coty Campus integrates text and voice chat tools, file-sharing and screen-sharing as well as customisable avatars. It is said to the first to ‘gamify’ global collaboration and engagement with a phygital reward system.
THE WHY? Coty Chief Digital Officer Jean-Denis Mariani, commented, “Coty is committed to being a leader in digital and continues to push the boundaries of innovation. With Coty Campus, we are proud to leverage Spatial’s Web3 and gaming technology on a ground-breaking scale to create new immersive experiences that will provide the most interactive solutions for collaboration and co-creation. Coty is thrilled to be the first beauty company to embark on this kind of project.”
