THE WHAT? Fresh off the heals of a new CEO and Chief Digital and Technology Officer as well as a replacement CFO yet to be announced, Bath & Body Works has named Maurice Cooper as Chief Customer Officer, according to a report published by Retail Dive.
THE DETAILS Cooper joins the company from Target, where he served as Senior Vice President of Marketing, Guest and Brand Experience. In this newly created role, Cooper is charged with managing the company’s customer growth strategy, developing tailored and tempting customer experiences.
THE WHY? CEO Gina Boswell said in a statement, per Retail Dive, “With the new Chief Customer Officer role and Maurice’s hiring, we are doubling down on our commitment to delighting customers and optimizing their experiences. Maurice is an accomplished executive who not only brings expertise in bold and inspiring brand storytelling but also a steadfast dedication to finding innovative ways to enhance connections with customers.
