AmorePacific debuts bespoke skin care based on genetic testing

THE WHAT? AmorePacific has signed a contract with LabGenomics which will see the Korean cosmetics behemoth offer its customers a DTC genetic testing service, which would then inform a bespoke skin care program, according to a report published by the Korea Biomedical review.

THE DETAILS Under the terms of the deal, LabGenomics will provide some 3,000 tests, which AmorePacific will offer to customers under the My Skin DNA banner on its Amore Mall site. The results will inform product recommendations.

THE WHY? As consumers increasingly seek more personalized regimens, AmorePacific’s DNA testing service is aimed at boosting sales of skin care products.
